He even comes when I call him especially if I have a treat in my hand. Our experience picking Ripley out and then bringing him home was all good. We always wanted a dog that kissed and boy does she. She loves to kiss both of us all day long and all her family. She totally helped me get over the sadness of loving my Molly It took me a bit longer, but once I feel in love, I was totally in love with her. Once we got her home, she truly was. She came right into our home and made it her own from day 1. She has been sleeping on the bed since we took her home that very first night. I have to say, she is very mature for her age. Has been the entire time. She was probably the easier of all the dogs we had to train. She makes friends so easily and loves other dogs. She just loves the outside, loves her home and her family. I live in a building with plenty of interaction with other people, so it was important for me to have a dog that would get along with strangers. Truman has really shined on this front, and loves to flaunt his outgoing and gregarious nature. I am very grateful to the Whalens for making this possible. I visited the Whalens before making the decision to get a puppy from them because it was important to me to be comfortable with the dogs’ living environment. I found the Whalens to be friendly and knowledgeable, and was pleased that they patiently answered all my questions. However, I was most impressed with the home environment they provide for their dogs. I would gladly recommend working with the Whalens in the search for a golden retriever puppy.
